Democratic strategist James Carville has boldly predicted that Donald Trump’s administration will “collapse” within weeks due to plummeting approval ratings and controversial decisions. Carville, 80, argues that Trump’s recent mass firings and executive orders, combined with budget cuts led by Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), could destabilize the economy and push Republicans to break ranks.
Speaking to Mediaite’s Dan Abrams, Carville advised Democrats to “play possum” and wait, claiming the administration is already in decline. He referenced polls showing Trump’s approval dropping from the low 50s to the upper 30s, predicting a downfall in less than 30 days.
Trump recently criticized Carville for questioning Fox News’ coverage of his popularity. Responding on Truth Social, Trump dismissed Carville as a “loser,” insisting his approval ratings are strong and accusing Democrats of being in disarray. Despite Trump’s pushback, Carville remains confident in his prediction.
