Luca Manolache, a 19-year-old footballer for Metaloglobus București, sadly passed away after facing severe health problems. Suffering from extreme fatigue, dizziness, and blood in his stool, his condition worsened, leading to his collapse on February 28. In a poignant call to his mother, he asked, “Do you think I’m dying?” Despite emergency efforts, Luca succumbed to severe internal bleeding, ultimately drowning in his own stomach acid. His club honored his memory, highlighting his passion and dedication, emphasizing the importance of monitoring athletes’ health.
Though his life was cut short, Luca’s legacy as a talented and beloved teammate will be remembered. Rest in peace, Luca—you will never be forgotten.
