Visiting the doctor is usually a serious matter, but this mother and daughter’s unexpected experience is sure to make you smile.
A woman brought her 16-year-old daughter, Darla, to the doctor, saying, “She’s having cravings, gaining weight, and feels sick most mornings.” After examining Darla, the doctor said, “Well, she’s pregnant—about four months along.”
The shocked mother exclaimed, “Pregnant?! That’s impossible! She’s never even been alone with a man. Have you, Darla?”
Darla insisted, “No, Mom! I’ve never even kissed a man!”
The doctor walked to the window and stared outside for a few minutes. Confused, the mother asked, “Is something wrong out there?”
The doctor replied, “Not really, but the last time this happened, a star appeared in the east, and three wise men came over the hill. I’m not missing it this time!”
