An 11-year-old girl has become the youngest mother in UK history, giving birth earlier this month without her family realizing she was pregnant, according to The Sun. Both she and the baby are in good health.
Social services are investigating how the pregnancy went unnoticed. “It was a huge shock. She is now receiving expert care, and the most important thing is that both mother and baby are doing well,” a source stated.
Previously, the record was held by Tressa Middleton, who gave birth at 12 in 2006. In 2014, the UK’s youngest parents were a 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy.
