Moments before a devastating crash near Cottman Avenue in Philadelphia, air traffic controllers were in contact with the plane when they heard an eerie moan from the cockpit, the cause of which remains unknown. After a brief silence, a controller announced, “We have a lost aircraft.” Shortly after, the plane went down, killing all six onboard, including a young pediatric patient returning to Mexico after receiving life-saving treatment in the U.S. The crash caused extensive destruction and a massive fire, also claiming one life on the ground and injuring 19 others. Authorities are investigating the cause. The aircraft, operated by Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, was en route to Tijuana with a scheduled stop in Missouri.
