Aerosmith has postponed six dates from their “Peace Out: The Farewell Tour,” leaving fans disappointed. Shows in cities like Toronto and Chicago have been rescheduled for early 2024, with the band assuring ticket holders that their original tickets will remain valid.
The delay is due to Steven Tyler’s vocal cord injury. On Instagram, he revealed that doctors advised him to rest his voice for 30 days after sustaining damage during a recent performance.
Originally set to conclude on January 26 in Montreal, the tour’s final date has been pushed back, with the next show now scheduled for October 11. Given the band members’ ages, touring’s physical demands may be taking a toll—Tyler, for instance, turns 75 in March.
Fans remain hopeful for his swift recovery. Tyler’s impact extends beyond music, as seen in 2019 when he donated $500,000 to open “Janie’s House,” a shelter for abused women. The postponement has only heightened anticipation for the band’s return.
