Ava Phillippe, daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, recently shared insights about her romantic preferences on Instagram. Witherspoon, 47, co-parents Ava and son Deacon with Ryan and has another son, Tennessee, with ex-husband Jim Toth. Just before their 12th wedding anniversary, Witherspoon and Toth announced their divorce while reaffirming their dedication to family.
Unlike her mother, who rose to fame later, 24-year-old Ava has always been in the public eye. Witherspoon encourages her children to explore their identities and admires Ava’s grounded nature and desire to make a difference.
During an Instagram Q&A, Ava addressed her attraction, saying, “I’m attracted to… people!” and noting that “Gender is whatever.” Though she didn’t explicitly label her sexuality, her words align with pansexuality, which involves attraction regardless of gender. Ava has been linked to Owen Mahoney, a fellow UC Berkeley student, since 2019, though their relationship status is unclear.
